Principal’s Message

Principal’s Message

I extend a warm welcome to Koo Wee Rup Secondary College.

One of the first things that visitors to our college remark on is our strong sense of community as evidenced by our friendly, caring and stable atmosphere and the respect shown and modelled by all members of our school community.

Koo Wee Rup Secondary College fosters and maintains a calm learning environment with strong relationships between Students, Parents and Staff with the student at the centre.

We recognise that all students are individuals and as educators we take our role very seriously to ensure that every student progresses and develops into their personal best

As secondary educators we recognise that school is a journey and not a destination.

It is our role over the six years that we are entrusted to educate our students to ensure that at the point of exit that they leave as successful, qualified, and confident young people well equipped to embark on their chosen pathway of further education, training or employment.

As a staff we have high expectations of ourselves and our students within a culture of high accountability for all.

With an ethos of collaboration and an emphasis on continuous improvement we are focused on ensuring our students continue to develop the necessary skills and attributes that will prepare them for any possible future whether that be vocational or academic.

I can give you my sincere assurance that Koo Wee Rup Secondary College is a school worthy of your serious attention and consideration as you make the important decision around your child’s education and pathway.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of the Leadership Team if you would like to have further discussions around the College’s suitability to meet the learning needs of your child.

Sincerely,

Shaun Doherty
